Please come and support the RE-Writing of the Urban Agriculture ordinance in Encinitas by attending the city council meeting this Wednesday Oct 15 at 6pm. WE ARE THE FUTURE OF THIS TOWN and if WE want to see policy change and government action then we need to be the ones stepping up and voicing what is important to us. The law for Urban Agriculture in encinitas was written almost 20 years ago. It is antiquated. It is strict… Rewriting it will make it more relevant to how we are living on and off our land now and in the future. Farming amongst our community is important. Knowing where our food comes from is important. Being conscious about how we are living and being connected to nature is of the essence to our vitality and health. This ordinance will also determine how the agricultural land can be used for community and art related uses such as yoga, farm to table dinners and art fairs and festivals. You may record your support for the culture of agriculture by showing up to 505 South Vulcan Ave Encinitas this Wed at 6. 1. Speaking (most effective). You may simply state you are in favor of including art/culture related uses in the new Urban Agriculture Ordinance. 2. Filling out speaker form as a non-speaker and writing in in favor of including art/culture related uses in new Urban Ag Ordinance. 3. Or, show support simply by being present at the meeting.
