Few questions have come through about our fruit and veg boxes. Please read below: Re-Using Your Boxes What’s that? No plastic shopping bags? That’s right. We don’t like them at Aussie Farmers Direct, and in their place we make every fruit & veg delivery in a recycled, weatherproof cardboard box. They’re nice and sturdy to ensure your fruit and veg is delivered in the perfect state, and of course, made from recyclable materials so we keep our carbon footprint way down. It’s extraordinary just how creative our customers have been in finding a new home for their fruit & vegetable boxes, once they’ve unpacked the contents of their fruit & veg delivery. Sadly, they can’t be returned to Aussie Farmers Direct HQ and used again due to health reasons, but there’s plenty of ways that you can give them a second life. The most obvious one is storage. The sturdy recycled cardboard box and snug lid create the perfect landing for documents, toys, or those random bits and pieces around the place that need a home. The boxes are stackable too, so provide a great storage solution for the spare room or shed. Our Aussie Farmers Direct community of kids has morphed our fruit & vegetable boxes into all sorts of wonderful creations. We’ve seen dinosaurs, castles, spaceships, cars, cubby houses, mailboxes and a maze!
