Final pieces to the puzzle coming together on the SRS A1. Added - TopicsExpress

Final pieces to the puzzle coming together on the SRS A1. Added the JEC Customs TLD mount along with a Trijicon red dot. Its an older micro-dot, had it for years, but perfect for this task. Always on, solid, light (polymer body), and simple. JEC Customs Dope board is ready to go, added a mount to the right side. Last of the little things is a set of Short Action Precision two round packs. Currently the SRS is limited to 6 in the mag, so this gets me ten before a reload is needed. The bull pup design of makes these single loads pretty fast. As a bonus, you can actually watch as you insert them using your peripheral vision never coming off the scope since the action is right there.... For those not familiar with the TLD (Target Locating Device) it is NOT for CQB work!! The red is used to spot targets at long range, the level is pretty self explanatory. Zeroing the Trijicon at 650 meters it allows you to spot targets easily without having to dial down the power on your scope. Just find it with the dot, lock on, and look in your scope and the target is there. Started by making certain the reticle was level using a plum line at 100 meters. Once everything was lined up the level on the TLD was set. Zeroed the red dot and ran it with targets ranging from 300 to almost 1200 yards and it works great. If the dot is on the target it is in your optics field of view, even on 16 power, pretty slick. Fit and finish on the JEC stuff is excellent!! Been doing quite a bit of dry practice using the Short Action Precision two round packs and it is pretty stinking fast. Confirmed that today with live fire drills, and I really like them. Rumor is Desert Tech is coming out with a 10 rounder soon, but these will stay either way. It is pretty easy to access them no matter the position. With a couple decades running similar setups on conventional bolt rifles this is easier for me. All thats left is a Cosine Indicator in the Badger mount that should be here on Monday, then it is time to dial it in with my reloads. This has been a ton of fun, really looking forward to a couple PRS matches this year. It is what really got me into this profession, and it remains a ton of fun with a gun for me.
