Finally saw the original 1976 version of Carrie.....and I have to say it was great! Im a movie fanatic but I always dodged that one for a few reasons. First I thought the ending was spoiled from all the pop culture about it. Second I already had dealt with numerous Stephen King teenage bullying films and stories and had my fill. Did I really want to see this I would question..... The direction was more snappy, whimsical,cruel and bizarre then I anticipated and the performances much better.
