Financial Director To assist the financial management of Myanmar Journalism Institute (MJI), we are looking for candidates to fulfil the function of Financial Director. The role of the Financial Director is to support the development of MJI’s goal under the Board of Directors. Job Qualifications are: • A bachelor degree of Economics or Commerce from the recognized university • Minimum 7 year experience in accounting and financial management field • English proficiency This full-time position will cover the following main tasks: 1 Create financial system for sustainable budget plan under national and international standards, Myanmar law and regulation. 2 Review financial statements and manage budgets 3 Take on responsibility of delivering cash or signing payment order 4 Assist Executive Director for development and implementation of MJI goals relating to financial management 5 Manage all relationship with donors, banks, officials related to financial issues 6 Provide financial advice and assist Executive Director for action plans and reports to the Board of Director 7 Manage staff on all financial and accountability issues 8 Develop business model and risk assessments 9 Coordinate with Executive Director, staff and Treasurer for external/ internal audit 10 Assume any special tasks under the range of its capacity and ability upon request.
