Finished my second lesson as a follower with Miss Linda E. Learning to follow definitely lends itself to appreciating the ladies you dance with even more, especially the ones that take following to art form. Linda is teaching me at instructor level, so Im being introduced to all the nuances and details I had no clue about. It has also given me a pause a few times and made me reevaluate how Im leading. This has not just been about learning salsa from the other side--- its more like tossing salsa on its head and learning a new dance --- and yet, by slowly assembling two halves together, lead and follow... Its starting to make more sense as one complete dance. Go ahead, swap sides... Learn something about yourself.
