Fire at 2225 Clark The Parsons Fire Department responded to a structure fire last Saturday afternoon at 2225 Clark. The call came in at 4:02 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the east side of the residence. The fire damage to the structure was quite extensive. The fire cause is believed to be a cooking fire in the kitchen area of the residence. There were believed to be three people in the residence at the time of the fire. Everyone escaped from the residence and refused medical treatment on scene. The home was owned and occupied by LaVanda Duncan. It was not insured at the time of the fire. Damage to the home is estimated at $15,000 to the structure and $6,500 to contents. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental in nature.
