First, I hope everyone is having an awesome afternoon. I wanted to thank you all for the warm welcome to the Detroit Sports Nation team. Second, we’ve got a couple pieces of Lions news for you all. 1. The Lions will apparently be seeing Jim Schwartz back in the D on Thanksgiving this year. Although the schedule isn’t due out until later this month, the Buffalo Bills released an article on their website this afternoon titled “13 Things to know about 2014 opponents.” This article on the 8th point says that Buffalo will be in Detroit this season on Thanksgiving day. Looks like Schwartz is coming back to Detroit sooner rather than later. 2. The Lions hosted Sammy Watkins today for a pre-draft visit. No private workout has been scheduled as of yet, but he did get to meet Calvin and Golden Tate today. The Lions seem to be putting a lot of stock in Watkins as a player, and look to be gauging whether or not to trade up to grab him. Hopefully we’ll see a private workout scheduled, Watkins could really make an impact on our offense, and would give us a legitimate second threat if Calvin were to go down again. ~DN
