First morning back to normal life in two weeks, rushing to get - TopicsExpress

First morning back to normal life in two weeks, rushing to get groceries for the daycare and food to make Layla a lunch for camp before work. Lunas happily flirting with the other grocery store patrons as I blindly and hurriedly push the cart through the aisles. I stop, slightly annoyed to answer a kind (but way too bubbly before my coffee) womans string of questions that often begin, how old is your baby, what is her name, she is adorable, she looks just like you... Today the woman ended with, where was she born? Turns out she is a labor and delivery nurse at the hospital where Luna was born and she remembered the day by the story of her quick delivery and her unique name. A reminder to slow down, open my eyes, and open my heart. You just never know when a conversation with a perfect stranger will end in the opportunity, in my case, to thank a perfect stranger for helping your child enter the world!
