First morning here in Costa Rica and already feeling like home. Right off the plane you are very aware of no longer being in the USA. Between the long strips of banana trees and grooves of pineapples and coffee everywhere, you also have cows right in the city between little crammed houses. The one big difference is the driving! Holy shit I almost pooped my pants quite a few times. I find it better to not pay attention and just focus on the scenery around you. Funniest thing though is that people every five minutes almost play chicken or run each other off the road and all they do is give each other a quick little beep and theyre good. No road rage or getting annoyed. Just a quick hey Im coming up on your ass beep and theyre on their way. Already liking the mentality of these people. Im hoping this will wear off on me after being here 3 months although I think its already starting too :)
