First of all, I apologize if I have offended anyone with my recent posts. It was never my intention to offend anyone. I wanted only to address this issue because it is an issue that has haunted this community and still does. Yes, I only brought it up due to recent events, but it is an issue that has never really been confronted and dealt with. Im sorry if it makes you uncomfortable. It makes me uncomfortable. This community is moving forward. It has come a long way and with Gods guidance, it will continue to progress. I wish we could leave the past in the past and forget about it. But, when something happens in this community that brings the past to the surface, especially something as tragic as this recent incident, then I believe we need to talk about it and pray about it. I felt that you had a right to know why this happened--why this man did what he did. I am not condoning what he did. I believe he could have found a different way to get his message across. I do not, in any way, believe that suicide is the answer for anything. And I pray that he is at peace now. HE wanted you to repent. My intention was only to get you to think. Think about why some people still label this community that way. Think about why some people are still afraid to come to this town. Why are they afraid? Why do the people who live here who have openly expressed that they felt unwelcomed here and that they were looked down upon or judged by the color of their skin--why do they feel that way? Why? I am not perfect, therefore I have no right to judge anyone. And may God forgive me my transgressions against others. I am a sinner, but I am forgiven because I repent. I fall on my knees before God and repent for any and all things I have ever done to hurt or offend anyone. What you do is between you and God. Just think about it.
