First six months was my honeymoon period, the next one year was torture.. Every small issue is a stress factory when you dont know or understand what you are dealing with.Every morning I would brace myself to face the day ahead of me and every night I would want to quit. I would wake up at two in the night, thinking about unanswered emails, fabrics, trims, and my bosses angry face and office politics. The first three years in this company taught me so much and I give a lot of credit to my Boss and to one very dear friend of mine Karthik Raja Balashanmugam for helping when there was no one to teach me the ropes. I had much to learn and much to prove to everyone aroud.I loved the challenged and loved my work and hated being introduced to what you would call office politics. I was soo emotionally connected with it and loved everything about the work. whether it was travelling back-to back nights between tiruppur and chennai or anywhere, whether it was standing the entire day at asbestos covered printing units for print approvals, standing in boring embroidery units, fighting with factory workers to give me priority, worrying about what-ifs, tension and irritation about how things could go wrong even after taking every precaution in the dictionary of garmenting, whether it was fighting with bosses over some stupid lame employee they had hired or working three nights in a row. I breezed through every challenge that came my way, each time I had to show them what I was made of and I was not here on a free ride and that was what I loved about my job. I always thought that my last day in this company would be special and emotional. I expected to be choked with emotion and a sense of separation from a long lost lover. Today, I feel nothing. No happiness or sadness or anger or tears, just a wish to move forward. I feel thankful towards everyone who has taught me all I know today and for setting me up for a brilliant future wherever that may be.
