Flavor of the day, Thomas Dolby and Oingo Boingo. Heres the thing about those guys: I really want to like Oingo Boingo, but they only please me like 1/10th of the time. I guess Im wanting it to be like a rock version of Danny Elfmans music for Tim Burton movies, and it really isnt like that. Thomas Dolby, on the other hand, I have no idea who that is, but he is a damn genius. He did the song that Robin Williams performs in Toys (yes I realize thats way too obscure but if you get it, you get it). Ive tracked down stuff from him ranging from New Wave to country, and everything he does sort of pushes my buttons and makes me a little moist. Its actually a total coincidence that Dolbys only big hit was She Blinded Me With Science and Oingos only big hit was Weird Science. I BELIEVE thats correct. Dont quote me. I dont really give a shit about either of those songs, save for the odd karaoke session.
