Flicka update: We made it through the night. Both of us (and the other two) on the couch. She hasnt eaten anything since yesterday and I know that her appetite has gone. People do that too and I understand that. Why do we get so focused on thinking if they eat they are still okay when our hearts know that isnt true? She is very uncoordinated and not really walking, more of a stagger and I am trying to make sure she doesnt fall and rupture that mass and rebleed. I know bringing her home was the right thing. I would so hate her to pass in a steel cage around other dog and cat smells and sounds. At least here she knows her pack (the other two and us humans). She has her own soft bedding and blanket. The cat walks by and sniffs her and she actually just looks at him like Oh its you again instead of growls (she guards her favorite bed even from Reddy and Lori) I cannot thank everyone enough for the prayers and healing energy. Now we need her a safe journey pain free to that other side. One day at a time, one hour at a time when a day is too much. I have often told my friends that tears are liquid prayer and it is true. Heaven is being bombarded with mine.
