Folks - poorly written initiative is what this is about. Doesnt matter how you feel or what you think about Monsanto, GMOs, pesticides, herbicides, etc. - no initiative passed in Maui County can dip into the publics purse nor create hiring reqs / overtime for law enforcement / create new courts etc. In other words, its 100% UNENFORCEABLE. It will get shut down by a State judge just as soon as someone tries to enforce it. Do the Environmental Public Health Impact Statement FIRST, then pass the law with the Statement behind it. Going in reverse will mean this: anyone supporting this initiative, and hoping for change, will be sorely disappointed. Once again, check me on this, this initiative can create nothing that can be or will be enforced. Remember Kauai; lets learn from them. Plus, I still have to see a single article written showing that GMOs are actually harmful to people for consumption. If you have that research, please share it with me! I cant find it anywhere.
