Folks! My ass is really dragging this evening and I ain’t telling no lie. Miss Precious has put me thru the wringer today. Got me up early and told me to git out there in the yard and do a little work. I told her that I worked in the yard a little last year and I didn’t know of anything that needed to be done out there. She told me to trim the tree limbs off thu trees so she could see around the place a little better. Had to work on the chain saw before I could get started. Had to find something to work on it with and searched everywhere before I found something suitable. Pulled and pulled on the thing and finally got it started. Then had to find the ladder so I could reach the limbs. Finally lugged the ladder to the tree and stood it up against it. Climbed up and started to cut it and had to jump down cause I lost my balance. That could have been it for me cause the saw was running as it hit the ground. Had to work on the saw again to get it running. I cut a few limbs and pulled them to the burn pile. Had to come in the house and call the folks about burning outside. They told me to gitt’er done. Of course the limbs were all tangled together and hard to pull. I worked out there about all day. About dark thirty I decided to git back into the house. I went right to my big ole recliner chair to rest a little before taking a bath. Just as I got comfortable in the chair and about to doze off, the doorbell rang. I got up, went to the door and opened it. I looked out and saw nobody around. Just as I sit back down the doorbell rang again. I reluctantly got back up and opened the door. I looked out again and didn’t see a thing. I was about to close the door when I heard a faint voice. I looked around and didn’t see anyone again. Just as I started to slam the door, I heard a voice say, hey, down here. I looked down and what did I see? It was my ASS just dragging in. I told you my ass was really dragging today. I heard this one years ago and thought I would tell it to you. See ya, Jimmy
