Folks, Stories and rumors about Beauvoir the last home of President Jefferson Davis are spreading like wildfire, If you are smart you wont put one ounce of faith in any of them. You hear versions of Bertram Hayes and versions from this one and that one but when it comes down to the truth the Mississippi Sons of Confederate Veterans own Beauvoir, Mississippi has 44 SCV camps with many members and the Members are seeing and hearing the same stories that the entire country is hearing and at the same time. Its sad that the very people that are stock holders and owners of that magnificent property are kept in the dark about transactions and activities taking place there. Bertram Hayes and the Board at Beauvoir own the same share of Beauvoir as does every other member of the Mississippi Sons of Confederate Veterans, Many members are upset over the fact that we are not included in what takes place at the home.
