Following a challenge by Filip Stojanovic I am here to announce 10 books as my recommendation, with a little change by taking this to international level (only saw it in Serbian thus far). 1) The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupery Number 1 it has to be, no questions about it. The book is to be re-read over and over again. So simple, yet so powerful and meaningful. What does it mean to tame? Let me rephrase that: What does it mean to hula? ;) 2) 1984 - George Orwell Eye opening. Giving a broader view to the world. Good to show us that everything happening around us is for sure not by chance, and there is a story behind it. 3) Laws - Plato Time is irrelevant for some books. This one among others. To show us that complicated doesnt necessarily mean better, but totally opposite, that beauty, happiness and success are in simplicity, in being humble, in trying to change yourself instead of others. 4) Emotional intelligence - Daniel Goleman Mind blowing. Just to show us how deformed our society has become, as well as offering a way back into being more emphatic and understanding for each other. 5) Чујте срби (Listen up Serbs) - Арчибалд Рајс (Archibald Reiss) To my fellow countrymen. A true message from a true friend, the one that looks you in the eyes and tells you what you need to change in order to live a better life. Written 100 years ago, like it was written yesterday. We never heard him. 6) Republic - Plato What to say about this guy again, he rocks it :) description same as for Laws. Read Plato! 7) Social intelligence - Daniel Goleman The successor book for number 4. Together these two books can reshape our understanding of being intelligent, by broadening wider than only cognitive skills. 8) The animal farm - George Orwell Approach similar as Orwell had it in 1984. Realization how easy it is to manipulate huge masses of people. Dont be just another one in that mass, speak up! 9) The Bro Code - Barney Stinson, Matt Kuhn Eh :) 10) Parni valjak - Duško Radović Malo iracionalizma na kraju!
