Following the attack on Mariupol and the escalation of violence in the Donbas, the High Representative Federica Mogherini decided to convene an extraordinary Foreign Affairs Council this coming Thursday, 29 January. Over the weekend she has spoken to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko as well as Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov.
