Following the storms earlier, it seems Southern Floyd Co. caught the brunt. Multiple trees were downed along the Highway 101 corridor and Wax areas. Gravel was also washed into the roadway on 101 on the hill south of Pleasant Valley Road. The most unusual damage took place in the area of Horseleg Creek Road and Blacks Bluff Road at the new bypass construction. So much rain fell there, that it washed a thick layer of rocks and mud across the roadway to the point that Floyd Co PD requested a Public Works respond with a bobcat tractor to clear the roadway.
