For a rich suburb of Chicago, in NW Cook County, where the nearest permanent homeless shelter is in a different suburb more than 15 miles away, and there is only 1 mental health center anyone knows of, with all other services being in the city (a 2.5 hour bus trip costing about $3 one-way), having a new center out in the suburbs could be considered a blessing. Considering asking for homeless/ poor services at the Schaumburg Library (which also serves Hoffman Estates, Hanover Park and I think Streamwood) provided less information than Google, I will make certain to pass on this information! articles.chicagotribune/2013-06-05/news/ct-x-0605-willow-creek-care-center-20130605_1_food-pantry-church-requests-church-members
