For all of those complaining about Xcel not calling until midnight.... Yup, it sucks but its possible they were working to avoid doing what they finally did to try to keep customers satisfied. Anyone consider that? Its easy to armchair quarterback someone elses decision when you dont have to make with it and deal with the backlash. Have a little respect for someone in such a position. I may not care for our president, but I respect his position and would never want to make the decisions he makes... Likewise for a utility exec. Except I believe the utility exec likely has more experience than our president... I digress..... I guess Xcel had to finally resort to calling for a little conservation due to circumstances that occurred that were out of THEIR control but were forced to react to. Im sure they did their best until they had to decide what they did...I know how hard those crews work in an emergency...
