For all of you lovely friends of Joan Cummins Tapia that may not have seen my (Anne Tapia) post because we are not friends, she is normal for post surgery. We all know that my mom is far from normal, but rather, exceptionally wonderful in so many ways, however, in todays circumstances, well take normal! The surgery was delayed while the metal part that is now separating her vertebrae had to make its way from that state up north (its always their fault in some way!). The surgeon indicated she had some unanticipated osteoporosis and a pinched nerve, but he was able to scrape away some of the nerve damage. She is resting and healing like a good patient! Thanks for the continued prayers, love, kindness, and concern! We are all truly grateful for our family and friends. You make for a great caring community!
