For all the bad press Detroit gets, it is actually a beautiful city filled with incredible architecture. Probably the best example is the dreamscape and iconic RenCen. Almost like a skyline in a box, these compressed downtown towers are both majestic and awe inspiring. The tramway that moves its constituants around the complex is a scifi vision come to life. This is the view from my hotel lobby, transformed into a visual representation of my feelings as I sat there. With a wonderful people and incredible potential, I pray this city rights itself and returns to the prominance it can earn.
