For all who are genuinely concerned about what is happening inside the EFLU campus, here you go; We attended an open house along with concerned faculty on Monday. It was meant to share our concerns,thoughts and fears which we did. On the same day, some of us staged a street play that spoke about irresponsible governance and its consequences. Well, since admins around the world are not expected to have a single funny bone among them, we were immediately gifted with a notice stating that the participants will be strictly dealt with as per the disciplinary rules of the University. Personally, I am curious as to how only one set of rules happen to work all the time. Today, we were welcomed by another notice explicitly banning all sort of co curricular and political activities on campus by self styled groups. How swift is the sword of retribution!! Nevertheless, we sat together in the lawn adjacent to Sagar Square to read and listen to poetry shared and recited by our friends.Not to mention that the lawn in question was fenced off semesters ago, to prevent students from entering and spoiling the green. In another dramatic move, some of the security guards led by a supervisor came to remove the posters that were hung around the Square. We sent them back demanding for an official notice. I am sure they will be back by midnight and rip off the posters anyway. Tomorrow, womens right organizations and activists are visiting the campus. We will be presenting our case before them. And then we will decide. Please, those of you who have declared your solidarity with us, stay with us right through. We need you. Time are changing.Times are dangerous.
