For everyone so interested in me going out wearing a C-collar, guess what, Im a RN and my neurosurgeon and orthopedic doctor following me are well aware I cant lay in bed all day. People with cancer go on vacation, people in wheelchairs go to Disneyland, children with recent head surgery wear a helmet. I have to wear this (getting a custom one tomorrow) for 6-8 weeks because my C5 and C6 are displaced fractures and in 4 weeks if not healing or pressing on C7, then I will have to have surgery and a halo screwed into my skull. I cant drive a car, I cant work in ER and cant lift anything, no gym... I CAN however, go out with friends and do whatever else I want as long as Im wearing this to PROTECT my neck. Thank you to everyone who has checked on me and helped me and not sat back in their boring life and judged me! Happy healing! Im missing beach volleyball!
