Ive been thinking about my last consult ... a mum of 3 who has a babywearer in the family but never got it until very recently. Since then shes been watching her family member using slings any chance she had. During the consult, she was so confident putting her two babies into slings, so in tune with the movements needed ... Ive been posting before about instinct and slinging. Watching this mum has me thinking that using a sling and breastfeeding are very much alike, a combination of instinctive and learned behaviour. If both is the norm in a society, the learning happens through observation ... Maybe we will get there again one day, just instinct and observation ....
