For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 I deserve to go to hell (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23)... and this is a fact that makes me stand in awe of God... that he would give me the free gift of eternal life for simply agreeing with the fact that I am broken beyond my understanding and deserving of hell, then asking Jesus into my life! (Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6) There is no works I can do to earn my way into heaven! It has been 375 days since I understood this and accepted Christ into my life and I have had 375 days of watching Jesus transform my life! Everyday I am more aware of my broken state, everyday I am more aware of the unmeasurable holiness of God, and every day I fall more in love with Jesus for bridging that gap.
