For many years, Michael Scott Bartruff and I have supported the AV200 on a personal level through individual donations and over the last three years, we have been a corporate sponsor through Piedmont Periodontics. For those of you who dont know, the AV200 is a 200 mile cycle event that has taken place every year since 1999 to raise funds that support a number of charities that include Aid Atlanta, Jerusalem House Inc, Positive Impact and research at Emory by a very talented, dedicated team. Folks, we are so close to so many great breakthroughs. Earlier this year when they closed the ride, the proceeds were distributed and the researchers spoke about how close we are to a vacinne and many other life saving breakthroughs in medicine regarding HIV and AIDS, I had to jump in and I am SO excited to be working on sponsorships for the Steering Committee. There is much work to do in 2014-15 for the ride and there are still many areas the steering committee needs help. If you are interested, please give of your time or money. I invited many of my Atlanta friends to Like the AV200 Facebook page this morning. If I missed you, please look it up and follow the progress. Even if you cant give of your time or money and you dont live in Atlanta, tell someone else who may be able to help.
