For portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme Southeast Kansas, the National Weather Service is forecasting possible severe weather this afternoon and tonight, with limited tornado risk, elevated hail risk, elevated thunderstorm and wind damage risk and significant lightning risk. A broken line of thunderstorms will continue to push east across the area this afternoon, with some strong to severe thunderstorms possible. Large hail is possible to the size of half dollars and wind gusts to 60 miles per hour. On Saturday, a few scattered thunderstorms will be possible as a warm front lifts through the region. There will continue to be the potential for severe weather Sunday and Monday in the area.
