For the benefit of anyone coming to Perth for a night out or that possibly end up working here theres a few odd ball rules that *vary from bars/nightclubs/venues so heres a few general tips that might come in handy: *Always bring ID most nightclubs in Perth have ID scanners, you wont get in without valid ID. More importantly if you start a fight or get involved with any malicious incident or are constantly drunk and disorderly they can ban you not only from that venue but from venues across the city and possibly all over oz. depending on the severity of the incident bans can last for months. *you will not get served if you are in anyway drunk, bars and bar staff face major fines if they find anyone drunk on their premises. So if your sliding against that wall or asking me for a pint of water youll be asked to leave *cannot serve you a shot after 12 *any drink served after 12 has to be served with a mixer poured *cannot serve you red bull after 12 or any other energy caffeine based drink *some places will not serve you doubles *some venues will only permit you to buy 2 drinks at a time after 12 *some venues cannot serve you a bottle of wine after 12 unless you can prove you are sharing it with a sufficient amount of people *when serving shots some venues will not allow you another shot till at least 20mins after to see how it affects you *no last order notifications or half hour drink up time like at home. Lights go on its time to go home *some venues will actually change their music in accordance with the crowd, so if theres a meatfest on that dance floor I predict a riot will definitely not be on that playlist These rules arent specific to the bar I work in now but to other venues across the northbridge and greater Perth area
