Read the instructions carefully before you attempt the answers.Time your answers to avoid hurrying up at the last minute. Sec -a comprising of the question and answers should not take more than an hour and a half....give yourself another 15 mins if you need to.While answering the annotations it would work to your advantage if you remember to write 3 paras.The first one would be the introduction ,followed by the meaning and context and the last one would be the general relevance.Spell the authors name correctly and do not forget to mention the title of the poem or lesson.Exercise the choice given wisely. It would be ideal if you have 3 paras in your ordinary questions too . Begin with intro ,give the response the question asked in the 2nd para and then give the conclusion in which you could speak of your impression of the lesson or the general impression.(give positive impression only).Response to questions from nondetailed lessons must also begin with a proper introduction .If you know any other stories of the author or would like to comment on the other works of the author or his style,incorporate it into the conclusion or introduction as per your convenience.Divide the answer into paras for convenient reading by the examiner. Comprehension passages of section -b should nt be very difficult.But remember to answer in complete sentences.if you are asked the synonym you need to go for a word similar in meaning and for an antonym write the opposite . Section -c -----go through the text book and notes if you have any to fill the blanks with correct articles ,prepositions and verbforms(tenses).Remember the clue words and you cant go wrong with verb forms .Be careful with the auxiliary verb be and its forms.Get thorough with questiontags,degrees of comparison ,and simple compound complex sentences for sure and easy scoring.Write the complete sentence when you attempt correction of sentences.Be careful with sentences likethey enjoyed at the party....it should be they enjoyed themselves at the party.Write the complete word for missing letters to avoid confusion.Mark only the silent consonants and not the vowels in the words .Write the word and the corresponding part of speech.....remember very is an adverb..Read the words and their meanings from the text and work book to do the vocabulary aspect of the paperwell. Attempt identification of words in phonetic script only if you are absolutely sure.Otherwise go for identification of the odd sound.Give the answer to syllable division by attempting all of them---the ones you are sure of first and all the others later. Write the complete dialogue to avoid confusion in completion of dialogue. Certain members of the class need to be doubly careful with their handwriting.space your words for a neater appearance and see to it that the presentation in the first few pages is legible and free of scratches.
