For those of you coming to Ocean Isle Beach this summer, I have two locals recommendations for you. Castaway Grille for B, L, D. Locally owned by a wonderful Greek family. As you approach the bridge from the airport it is down a little driveway between the Tsunami Store and the bulk ice machine on the right side of the road. Go behind the ice machine to find it. Awesome, wonderful cooking. More than generous portions. Also, you can call ahead because they have a drive thru window. Love the chicken souvlaki and the pimento cheese burger. Very casual. Secondly, there is a new fresh seafood shop on the Causeway. It is bright turquoise and is on the left across the street from Tsunami. We bought their grey snapper Sunday and their scallops last night. Both were excellent. You buy it raw and cook it yourself. Call us when you get here!
