For those of you who abstain from Halloween because you consider it to be the Devils holiday, keep in mind that Christmas was also originally a pagan celebration and that the word Easter is a pagan term. We have simply taken these days and terms and chosen to honor our Lord as an alternative to secular values. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 theses of protest to the church door at Wittenberg, Germany, igniting the Protestant Reformation, and thus, Reformation Day. Instead of shunning the culture, find a way to glorify God through it. 1 Corinthians 9:19-27 is a helpful passage to consider.
