For those of you who know me, you know that I deal with social anxiety and stepping out of my comfort zone by going to new places or a lot of places alone. So it took a lot for me to get up and go to four shows this weekend alone. But once I moved past the anxiety, I was pretty okay until I was groped by strange men. It is absolutely NOT okay to touch someone you dont know, even at a show. Its NOT okay to touch a girl whos alone or to scream in her face when she asks you to leave her alone. Its NOT okay to grab a girls ass rather than just asking her to move. I had to leave early tonight because TWO different guys who I didnt know had either touched my ass or violently grabbed me around my waist for absolutely no reason, the second one yelling at me to lighten up when I told him to get off of me. My entire weekend of seeing my favorite band play four nights in a row was completely ruined when I started to fear for my safety. I cant for the life of me figure out how standing in the back of a crowd provokes something like that.
