For those that struggle with grace, this is the picture the Lord - TopicsExpress

For those that struggle with grace, this is the picture the Lord showed me this morning relating to this subject: BEFORE GRACE: Luke 18:35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord, I want to see,” he replied. AFTER GRACE: Luke 18:42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God. BEFORE GRACE: Luke 13:10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. AFTER GRACE: Luke 13:12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. BEFORE GRACE: BOUND AFTER GRACE: FREED Does grace give us reason to sin? No, because sin is like a great weight we carrry around on our backs spiritually. It blinds us from seeing truth and it binds us from moving freely with God. The book of John quotes Jesus as saying: John 5:14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” This is for our benefit; our spiritual well-being. Now, do we walk around as people bound by sin once we have accepted Jesus as savior? Again, the answer is no. As high priest, Jesus offered Himself as sacrifice for sins once and for all. He paid our price and sin was judged at the cross 2000 years ago. Before Christ, the high priests had to offer sacrifices for sin year after year and they had to offer a sacrifice first for their own sins before they could for the people. But Jesus, our Passover Lamb without blemish, offered Himself, as High Priest, once and for all for all sin (past, present, and future). We should be running around praising God in the freedom we have in grace and not wallowing in Im a sinner therefore... For those in Christ, you are a saint who has been raised with Christ and is seated in heavenly places. PRAISE GOD!
