For those who do care about sanitation in the nail salon.... Sanitation: You Have My Word: Mobile or at The spa Downtown a) Every precaution is taken to prevent the spread of bacteria, viruses, fungus and disease. Your hands and feet are safe with me. b) All tools that are not disposable are washed/sanitized and soaked for the appropriate time in EPA Hospital grade disinfectant then sealed into sterile pouches until your service. c) Nail files are disposable and only used during your service. d) Nail file handles are washed/sanitized and soaked in EPA hospital grade disinfectant. e) All tech/massage therapist hands are washed/sanitized just before YOUR service. f) All clients hands are washed/sanitized before each service. g) All working areas (manicure/pedicure table, chair etc) are washed/sanitized/disinfected before, during and after each service. h) Pedicure foot bath uses disposable liners which are disposed after each service. Your feet will only soak in a new, clean, disinfected liner. i) Cuticles are pushed back gently and are not cut to prevent bleeding and pain. We use a method that works as well but takes a little longer. In Florida, although it is done, cutting cuticles is against the law. j) We do not ‘shave’ calluses to prevent bleeding. Instead, we soften them using appropriate methods and file, gently. The callus is there for a reason. Let’s leave enough to protect the foot.
