For those who havent yet headed out to spot Comet C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy), its easily visible as a small smudge in binoculars and, here in the desert, even to the naked eye. Its quite impressive in a telescope. At the bottom of this article youll find a star map showing its position against the stars during January. Tonight (January 15) it continues to make a nearly perfect equilateral triangle with the bright star Aldebaran and the Pleiades star cluster Dont wait too long, though; next week the moon will begin growing in our evening sky and will make it tougher to see.
