For years heard the story of one of the Blue Angels crashing near the old skating rink. Talked to a gentleman at the NAS Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum who is the unofficial historian for the Blues. He said he actually remembered the event and the pilot. A few days later he surprised me by coming in my office and handing me the newspaper clippings he had found of the event. Sorry if theyre hard to read but definitely an interesting story.
