Weather Situation A high pressure system centred just to the southeast of Tasmania will move only very slowly eastward during the next couple of days, directing a mostly east to northeasterly airflow across Tasmania. A weakening trough to the northwest of the state will approach overnight before dissipating over the far northwest tomorrow as another low moves across the Bight. This low is then expected to move into southern New South Wales by late Monday, then to near far eastern Victoria during Tuesday, as the high moves over New Zealand.
