Forgot this was this week!!... gamesdonequick/ This is a marathon of speed running gamers doing live runs while raising money for a good cause. This time around they are raising money for a group called Doctors without Borders, they deliver emergency medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, natural disaster, or exclusion from healthcare in more than 65 countries. Last time they raised money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation and raised a total of $1,025,497.34 Yes thats right, a group of gamers coming together managed to raise over 1 million bucks for a great cause in a little more than a week of live gaming. So far for this special summer marathon they have raised over $200,000 They will be live streaming for 7 days straight (the 22nd through the 28th) with various runners and games. You can donate on the site and also if you like a particular game or franchise they usually have prizes or other things to donate for with each game. Gamer or not its something cool that the gaming community has been up to for a few years now that is worth checking out.
