Found a way to get through Mass with a screaming baby... 1) let him dance. 2) drawing on the seat with your finger is apparently super fun. 3) point to random things and act really excited. 4) offer every embarrassment he causes up for him. 5) smile and pretend its no big deal, because after a couple minutes you start to believe it. Plus, your smile may encourage others, and I imagine Mary smiling at the chatty babies too.
