Four years ago I was hired at Piner. Day one there was a guy who told me he was in it for the long haul. He was so committed to this program and these kids it was unbelievable. He lived for his family, Piner football and the entire Piner community. This past off season we lost him. Tomorrow is a special day. Its the first day of football and it ironically is his birthday. We all miss Gary Cummings so much. He was an inspiration and continues to be. I hope that each one of us can carry on his legacy and let him live forever through all of us. It wont be the same with out him on the field and remember that big smile and boisterous laugh will get us through!!!!
