Four years ago my brother and I decided to write an album. We had no formal music training..and had little knowledge of writing for the orchestra…what ensued was pure joy and passion for music!!!..nothing more..nothing less. We didn’t think about what you can or can’t do…or what you’re “supposed” to do in certain situations. Sure there are principals and rules of thumb to follow..and there is always room for improvement as far as orchestration goes. But the melody, the driving force behind every piece, was the only thing that kept the music flowing the way it needed to..we simply closed our eyes..listened..and stayed true to what we felt in our hearts. What do you all think!? Is a melody something that can be expressed through a series of musical rhythms and structures..almost like a formula? Or is there something else to it!? We would love to hear your thoughts!! On another note, thanks to everyone for the continued love and support!!! It’s the greatest gift to be able to share our music with you all… Have a great week! - J & A #blessed
