Fourteen years ago today, was major day in my life. I underwent intense and dangerous surgery to cut out a 8cm tumor around the bottom of my spinal column. Thanks to my incredible surgeon, Dr Carl van Heerden, I am walking today. I was surrounded by prayer and love. I felt the presence of God right by my side. As I went into surgery I felt completely at peace. A stranger, a media owner I had never met in person sat patiently outside my theatre and prayed for me. I called him my angel. I was nursed by my gentle caring mother, our lovely Florence and Michael. I had to learn to walk again, little steps at a time. It took me five months to get back to the real world. We never know what life brings us. Live life, be happy, be thankful and nurture our bodies.
