Fracking Hearing Update: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 13, 2013 Contact: Barb Halpin, 303-441-1622 CLARIFICATION: Public Comment for the June 18 Oil and Gas Hearing will be accepted in Written Form Only Boulder County, Colo. – The Board of County Commissioners will consider a possible extension of the current temporary moratorium (set to expire June 24) on Boulder County’s processing of applications for oil and gas development in the unincorporated county at a public hearing scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on June 18. As announced yesterday, the hearing has been added to a continuation of the June 6 public meeting on proposed Land Use text amendments for oil and gas regulations which was put on hold until Commissioner Deb Gardner could be present. Only written public testimony will be taken for the moratorium hearing, as there was extensive public comment heard on June 5 and at several other hearings prior to the one scheduled for June 18. Written comments must be submitted by mail, in person or by email to [email protected] by 8 a.m. on June 18. There will be no oral public comment taken during the hearing.
