Freedom Industries had until Thursday to get the tanks, according - TopicsExpress

Freedom Industries had until Thursday to get the tanks, according to an order from the state Department of Environmental Protection. It cant get those tanks because of its recent bankruptcy filing, said Tom Aluise, a DEP spokesman. We go by there every day to check, and as far as when theyre going to get the rest of the double-walled tanks, we dont know, Aluise said. Freedom said it would move the chemicals and contaminated water currently stored at a site it owns in Nitro, called Poca Blending LLC, into double-walled Baker tanks. Some of the chemicals and water were already stored in single-walled Baker tanks, which are typically used to hold materials associated with fracking. (Lets review; Freedom Industries is unable to comply with the DEP order to place the crude MCHM in double- walled tanks because they filed for bankruptcy. But they had empty single-walled tanks in Nitro that are used to hold FRACKING chemicals which are also apparently in violation and lack proper containment berms. Good to know.)
