Freedom of speech : double standards here indeed. It is a fact and freedom of speech has to be equal no matter what your beliefs. I agree with this video although as a Muslim I personally have never felt hurt by any of their cartoons ... mainly because none of them represented my faith, but only ignorance. It is a result of the media propaganda. Im actually not blaming them for that. They were free to think this way. But the truth about Islam is easily accessible if you are willing to find it. Again you wont hear it on TV tonight : surely too many people watch it. Never forget that we fear what we dont know. As a French citizen I am proud of the 4 million people in the streets of Paris and around France defending our rights and proving we can live together and stand up against a common cause. Not to forget we are all on the same boat. I come from a cosmopolite country. I was not even 10 that I already had friends from different backgrounds sharing my classroom at school and for me they were not Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists but only my friends. Full stop. The attack we faced is a tragic event. Now we have to learn from it. The march was a good start. We have to remain united. We have to be ONE. When such a dramatic event occurs, always ask yourself to whom it may benefit. We are responsible for what is happening from now. We are responsible for our childrens education : knowledge will be the key in the nearest future. People who are in charge now only aim to divide us to better reign. I totally disapprove the presence of some of the world leaders on the first line of the march yesterday in Paris. I personally found it very offending to see such people with blood on their hands attending the march and pretending to walk for the sake of solidarity against terror. I dont count on them and the ones above them for a better world. They are the ones responsible for the mess we are in and the death of millions of innocents all over the world. But since yesterday I dare to count on us to be the change. All together we can make it. We have just proved it. We have to fight for our rights, we have to fight for respect, we have to fight for freedom. Racism, antisemitism, islamophobia have no place here. I dare to hope this way. I dare to hope the unity will go on. Being ONE will be our strength. It is now vital to open our eyes to what is going on around us, to be able to read between the lines. We have to wake up. Ignorance is their power. Peace.
