Friday 2nd January 2015, USA, Tennessee, Waverley- Deer point campsite Distance: 52.30km connect.garmin/modern/activity/664403817 Warm and wet today. Still struggling with fatigue. Small rolling hills are much tougher than occasional huge hills, there is no settling into a rhythm/pace. I can officially verify that tractor racing with approx 21,000km in the legs is a plain stupid idea. The campsite I arrived at tonight is open year round but when I called the owner (as instructed on office door) she explained was out of town and so not available for business. People really cant grasp what Im doing. I explained that I was on foot, alone and had been running for 32miles mostly in the rain and needed to camp. Her reply Im not available for business, theres a campsite just up the road the campsite she was talking about I had passed 20km earlier - half a marathon just up the road yes if your driving! Luckily once I explained for the third time that I WASNT DRIVIN! But RUNNING she agreed to let me pitch my tent! theres a covered pitdoor area outside the office/bar and I pitched my tent under here as its raining pretty heavily now. Not many photos - too much rain! But I did run down Cuba Landing Lane I thought relationships had only been normalised a week or so!
