Friends, I feel quite strongly about this subject and this is no joke, so if you have something funny to say about it, keep it to yourself or be deleted. Please dont comment on this if you dont bother to read the article. The writer makes some excellent points, and as an uncle, brother, partner and son, I can tell you right now that i wouldnt be mad at any of those women in my life if this happened to them. I would be sharpening my battle axe for the thiefs and shamers. But its all too common for us (myself included) to shame and blame women for things that happen to them. This is true of us, as a culture, and we need to change the way we think. .... we emphasize how women can prevent being assaulted instead of telling men and boys not to assault women in the first place. Instead of condemning those who would steal the private photographs and publish them online for all to see, we condemn or belittle the women who chose to create said private photographs in the first place.
